Shrink in the wash by Grant Harbison

Come and get spring cleaned with an ersatz broom
Erase all that ennui in the shrinking room
Brush off the gathering dust
Get preened and polished
Delivered from rust
Your eyes will sparkle and your countenance will beam
You’ll be violently happy with an optimistic gleam
It’s periodic pampering
Psychosomatic swill
Purging that precludes the loss of will
For continual shine we can offer a pill
And please come again once you’ve had your fill
